For Brisbane, the sky is the limit

The Property Council’s The Sky’s the Limit Downtown Lunch discussed the latest wave of inner-city apartment development in Brisbane, and why big investors have chosen the inner-city to invest.

The lunch featured presentations and a Q&A session from Cameron Kusher, Senior Research Analyst – RP Data, David McMahon, Director of Communities – Sunland Group and Paul Gedoun, Director – Pointcorp.

Cameron began proceedings by providing an analysis of the residential property market around the country, and describing which interstate drivers we can expect to see flow through to Brisbane over the medium and long term.

Cameron outlined the increased competition for large sites in Brisbane’s inner city and the considerations potential investors were facing in our market.

Among the investors discussed by Cameron are Pointcorp and Sunland. Combined, these developers will bring over $0 million of investment to the Brisbane market over the next few years.

Both David and Paul discussed the elements of the market that attracted them to Brisbane at this point in the cycle, and their organisations’ impressions of the inner-city opportunities. Both speakers also outlined specific projects in detail – providing attendees with an insight into the innovative, premium stock that is being added to the market.

The Property Council would like to thank Cameron, Paul and David for presenting their research and projects to industry. Thanks must also go to our event sponsors Thinc, without whose ongoing support this event would not have been possible.
