FMG Engineering first in SA to offer Plate Load Testing.

Plate Load Testing is now available in South Australia; with FMG Engineering the first to offer this service locally, placing them at the forefront of the industry.

Previously the industry has had to look interstate for this service, with the added cost of bringing companies to SA to complete the testing ultimately being passed onto local businesses.

Plate Load Testing (PLT) is a requirement for many construction sites, PLT tests the strength and suitability of a site for the intended construction project. 

The testing is completed to ensure required bearing capacity, confirming that the ground can take the intended load created by piling rigs, cranes and scaffolding, before foundations are created. 

Successful testing allows designs to be optimised for site conditions, reducing risk and costs to clients.
