Ferny Grove-Upper Kedron Neighbourhood Plan
Brisbane City Council has adopted amendments to the Ferny Grove-Upper Kedron Neighbourhood Plan.
Council formally adopted the revised plan on 28 August 2018, which was introduced to update planning provisions in Upper Kedron, focusing on the area south of Cedar Creek.
The amendments aim to:
• contribute to the economic prosperity, housing choice, biodiversity protection and hazard resilience goals of the city
• provide finer-grained planning at a local level for the neighbourhood plan area
• confirm residential and commercial opportunities in a proposed neighbourhood centre
• plan for an efficient local transport network supporting all modes of travel, including designating a future public transport route
• resolve existing challenges regarding the urban residential interface to the D’Aguilar National Park by balancing the future growth of residential uses in Upper Kedron with the delivery of locally significant biodiversity corridors and managing hazard and risk for this locality.
