Changes to fees and charges under the Planning Regulation 2017 & Regional Planning Interests Regulations 2014

The Queensland Government has alerted the Property Council to changes pertaining to fees and charges under the Planning Regulation 2017 and the Regional Planning Interests Regulation 2014.

From 24 June certain fees and charges will be expressed as a fee unit rather than a dollar value.

This will impact:

• Development application fees and tribunal fees in the Planning Regulation, and
• Mitigation values and regional interest development application fees in the Regional Planning Interests Regulation 2014.

The fee value is currently $1.00. As of 1 July 2022, the fee unit value is $1.025 to reflect the 2022-23 Government Indexation Rate.
