Fast tracked water utility approvals
Unitywater, the water distributor-retailer covering the local government areas of Noosa, Moreton Bay and the Sunshine Coast, has recently introduced a fast track approvals service and updated their Connections Administration Manual.
Similar to the RiskSmart development application service offered by councils, Unitywater is offering a new service to fast track applications through the approvals process. For an additional fee of $1,100, applicants can have an approval or comments provided back within five working days. If the timeframe is not met the fee is fully refunded. The fast track application form can be accessed here.
Following customer feedback, Unitywater has updated their Connections Administration Manual that covers the administration of the application, assessment, approval, construction and handover processes for connecting to Unitywater’s water supply and sewerage networks.
The revised manual includes redesigned forms, checklists and simplified procedures, along with practical examples that illustrate the steps that need to be followed.
A copy of the updated manual can be found here.
