The Property Council hosted attendees at Allens in Brisbane and wilson/ryan/grose in Townsville to hear from about the Pitch Pledge, a disruptive initiative designed to increase the number of women in leasing and capital transactions, developed by the Property Champions of Change and announced earlier this year at Property Congress.
Sheree Bamkin, Associate Director, Business Development from CBRE, gave an inspiring keynote presentation which outlined actions CBRE are taking to embed the Pitch Pledge, encouraging the audience to take action now.
Sheree then joined the panel of industry leaders – Lavinia Dack, Group General Manager Property from UnitingCare Queensland, Lauren Briody, Design Manager from Multiplex, and Annabelle Aland, Partner from Allens, facilitated by Graham Witherspoon, Stakeholder & Communications Manager from Destination Brisbane to explore with how their organisations are delivering their diversity priorities.
It was universally agreed that it is critically important that all people at all levels in the property industry take steps to learn about, understand and champion diversity.
