At the moment there is no hotter topic than interest rates and the impact on the residential market.

On 18 August at a Property Council breakfast our panel of experts gave their forecast on just that, Queensland’s residential market.

Leader in her field and authority on the residential market our keynote Nerida Conisbee, Chief Economist at Ray White delivered a masterclass on what to expect as interest rates rise.

Her depth of knowledge on the market was obvious and the message was clear, Queensland is in a good position to weather the storm.

Following Nerida, Mike Gill, Head of Research at PEXA was our second keynote speaker and a standout in this star-studded line-up.

Mike’s intimate understanding of the data meant he was able to deliver the home truth, Queensland’s residential market is facing challenges however it has the capacity to overcome these challenges and remain resilient.

Following these keynote presentations, Nerida and Mike were joined on stage by Moderator Kristan Conlon, Partner at McCullough Robertson and panellist Michelle Wooldridge, State Manager of Cedar Woods and the Queensland Vice President of the Property Council of Australia.

Thank you to sponsor RCP, without their support we would not have been able to deliver such an outstanding event.
