And that is a wrap for the Queensland Girls in Property program for 2022! After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, this year the program reconvened by bringing together a multitude of distinguished property companies along with Macgregor State High School, The Gap State High School. The goal of Girls in Property is to educate girls about the diverse range of career paths in the property industry, and ultimately empower more girls to choose a career in property.

The program involved Year 10, 11 and 12 girls in a unique and varied program including a panel discussion, workshops, working on real-life property projects under the guidance of industry leaders, and touring West Village, a world-class development by Sekisui House.

The Property Council has been running Girls in Property since 2017, and there is no doubt that this important initiative and others like it will serve to increase the number of women working the property industry in years to come. Important initiatives like Girls in Property would not be possible without support from our sponsor Construction Skills Queensland.
