The Property Council welcomed over 250 attendees to This is a big deal: An SEQ City Partnership Lunch on Friday November 11.
The lunch provided the opportunity for the City Partnership”s major stakeholders to reflect on the historic agreement and look at what the partnership may involve next.
The lunch kicked off with a keynote address from Council of Mayors CEO Scott Smith who reflected on the decade long advocacy journey that led to the partnership.
Following this, Deputy Premier the Hon Dr Steven Miles, Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner and Property Council CEO Ken Morrison joined a panel discussion to analyse the $1.8 billion agreement.
The conversation focused on how it was crucial to have bi-partisan support across all three levels of government to fully maximise the opportunities associated with the Olympics as well as the benefits of some of the specific projects contained within the partnership.
Collaboration across all three tiers of Government was a key theme at the Property Council”s City Partnership Lunch.
A huge thank you to the events major sponsor PwC and support sponsor K&L Gates for making this event possible.
