With just over six weeks until the election, both parties have stepped up the campaign once again, with Premier Colin Barnett announcing big plans for a World Trade Centre in Perth CBD, as well as a $520 million rail link between Thornlie and Cockburn while the Opposition Leader Mark McGowan, released Labor’s 200 Fresh Ideas for WA which outline’s the opposition’s platform which includes the creation of an Industrial Land Authority and Infrastructure WA and the development of Ocean Reef Marina.

The Property Council has also ramped up our campaigning efforts with a focus on connectivity, infill, and infrastructure.

In recent weeks, the Property Council has been rolling out a heightened media release campaign which to date has gained coverage on the following measures:

Coupled with our ongoing media campaign, our executive team has been hard at work meeting with key politicians and government agencies to outline our plan to keep WA growing. Last week Lino Iacomella, Alix Rhodes and Tony Perrin met with the Minister for Commerce Michael Mischin to discuss key advocacy recommendations outlined in the Keep WA Growing Election manifesto.
