Eco-friendly village wins national award

Chiton Retirement Living recently won the Master Builders’ National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards. This is the sixth award won by the development and its first national crown. Chiton Retirement Living has also won an Urban Design Institute of Australia Environmental Excellence award, three Housing Institute of Australia awards and the Brand SA Sustainability Award in the Hills and Coast division.

Winning Home Design
Chiton Retirement Living will incorporate 86 homes on completion with a mix of three bedroom (two bedroom plus study) and two bedroom homes. There are currently 22 homes built at Chiton with another 7 homes to be built in 2017.

Community Centre with a Winning View
The soon to be commenced Community Centre will feature a communal dining area and lounge, consulting room, business centre, gymnasium, billiards room, hairdressing salon, library, well-appointed bar, workshop, outdoor BBQ area and stunning views of wetlands.

A stand out for the area includes the Fleurieu Regional Aquatic Centre and Wellness Precinct located in close proximity to Chiton Retirement Living. The Aquatic Centre is expected to be operational by March 2017.
