Draft Recovery Plan for the Koala released for public consultation
The Federal Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment has released the draft National Recovery Plan for the EPBC Act-listed Koala, identifying strategic actions to support recovery of the nationally threatened species. It will be open for a three-month public consultation period until Friday 24 September 2021, which will impact on relevant state planning, programs and strategies.
The draft conservation advice listing assessment for the koala is also open for consultation until Friday 30 July 2021. This document will be incorporated into the draft National Recovery Plan as well.
The Property Council will be completing a submission on behalf of its members on these drafts at a national level.
