Draft Adelaide Street Vision

Brisbane City Council is seeking feedback on the ‘draft vision for Adelaide Street,’ which will be receiving upgrades in conjunction with the development of Brisbane Metro.  

The draft vision includes a walkable tree-lined boulevard, additional retail and upgraded civic spaces, and the utilisation of the northern busway tunnel as part of the new Brisbane Metro network.

The document is divided into two parts:

Part one of the vision sets the strategic direction of Adelaide Street and serves as a framework for design outcomes.
Part two of the vision seeks to identify specific opportunities for projects of high economic potential, including private redevelopment, capital works delivery and networking improvements.

Information sessions will be held in June, to gather community and industry feedback. An online survey is also available on Brisbane City Council’s website, closing Monday 24 June at 5pm.
