Do your bit for those in need at Christmas with Mission Australia
It has been a tough year for everyone in 2020 and as the year draws to a close, Mission Australia are busy preparing for the 45th Christmas Lunch in the Park event. Offering the much-loved event to Perth’s most vulnerable and those experiencing homelessness on Christmas Day, Mission Australia is anticipating there may be more people in need this year. The team behind the scenes are striving ahead to offer a COVID-19 safe event, whilst maintaining a welcoming atmosphere with all the usual trimmings.
There are a few new features with the first being the new venue, Langley Park in Perth City and also warm showers, haircuts and coffees, offered to all guests to help them have a sense of dignity and put a spring in their step.
This event would not be possible without our wonderful partners, of which Property Council of Australia has been a generous supporter of Mission Australia over recent years. As we near the Property Council Christmas Lunch on Friday 11 December, Mission Australia would like to thank all members for their unwavering support. We hope those attending, will continue to give generously to the Donate A Plate Campaign available on the day, so that those in need can also enjoy a much-needed festive feast on Christmas Day.
