  • March 11, 2015

Divestment of Commonwealth Property in the ACTThe Commonwealth Government is currently undertaking a scoping study into the divestment of six Commonwealth properties. The buildings – John Gorton and Treasury Buildings, East and West Block and Anzac Park East and West – are all located within the Parliamentary Triangle. The Property Council has met with the Department of Finance and their external advisers to discuss divestment options. It is important to note that a final decision has not been taken at this stage, and that further discussions are being held with other groups including the National Capital Authority, Commonwealth heritage authorities and a number of other Commonwealth departments. We will advise members when further advice is available from government.
