Discussion Paper – Building Professionals Act 2005 review

A discussion paper has been prepared by former NSW Treasury Secretary, Michael Lambert and released as part of the independent statutory review of the Building Professionals Act 2005.

The discussion paper explores the following topics:

  • Governance structure of building regulation and certification
  • Use of e-technology to improve access to information, processing of transactions and management of systems
  • The building regulation and certification process
  • Supply, accreditation, accountability and oversight of certifiers
  • Resourcing and funding arrangements for the building regulation and certification system
