Development Assessment Panels Inquiry

The Property Council told a WA Parliamentary Inquiry into Development Assessment Panels that the DAP system is an outstanding success.

Pursuant to the requirements in the Planning and Development Act, the Uniform Legislation and Statutes Review Committee of the Legislative Council is examining the operation of the Planning and Development (Development Assessment Panels) Regulations.

The Property Council’s submission to the inquiry included evidence that DAPs have created a consistent, professional and unbiased pathway for development assessments in WA. DAPs are widely regarded as one of the most effective policy reforms in recent years that deliver good planning governance and good outcomes in the form of building and infrastructure projects.

The inquiry will report later in this year.
