Development Assessment Panels: Expression of Interest
The Minister for Transport; Planning; Lands Rita Saffioti has invited suitably qualified people to apply for specialist membership on Development Assessment Panels (DAPs) for an appointment term of up to three years.
DAPs enhance planning expertise in decision-making by improving the balance between technical advice and local knowledge. Specialist and local government members work together to determine complex development applications that meet certain class and value thresholds.
Applicants must have a tertiary qualification or substantial experience in one or more of the following areas: town planning, architecture, urban design, engineering, landscape design, environment, law and/or property development or management.
Successful applicants may be eligible to be paid a sitting fee of $425 per meeting for a specialist panel member and $700 per meeting for a presiding member in determination of new DAP applications.
