Darwin Inner Suburbs Area PlanThe NT Planning Commission held a briefing for stakeholders this week on the proposed Darwin Inner Suburbs Are Plan.It is pleasing that government is putting some initial resources into strategic planning by establishing the strategic planning framework.There are three stages of preparation each of which have strong community engagement which we have been advocating for some time. It is the role of the NTPC to prepare these strategic plans that incorporate land use, transport and infrastructure planning, to deliver more sustainable and cost-effective outcomes for the community. We will be providing a submission on this plan and will be heavily involved in the ongoing consultation process.We invite members to send in any comments that you believe should be included in our submission.
