Danish design to revitalise Circular QuayDenmark’s 3XN has been named the architect for AMP Capital’s 49-story, Bridge Street “Quay Quarter Tower” and master plan for the Quay Quarter Sydney. 3XN won AMP Capital’s international Design Excellence competition which involved six internationally-renowned architectural firms, including three Pritzker Architecture Prize-winning architects. The Quay Quarter Tower will be 200 meters high and consist of shifting glass volumes stacked upon each other. The lower levels of the tower will be angled west and as the building rises the northern facade shifts to the east. The building will provide spectacular views for its users and shared amenity spaces encouraging interaction. The plans for Quay Quarter will revitalise Sydney’s northern CBD providing world-class street retail, entertainment and office accommodation. It will also help to attract more visitors to the vibrant precinct. Construction on Quay Quarter Tower is set to begin in 2018.To read the media release, click here.
