COVID-19 RESTRICTION UPDATE
Restrictions have eased further for the 5 LGAs in Stage 2 restrictions.
These easing of restrictions apply in the following LGAs:
- Brisbane
- Gold Coast
- Moreton Bay
- Logan
- Townsville and Palm Island
Face masks
- You must still carry a mask at all times in case you can’t socially distance
- You must continue to wear masks indoors unless you’re seated (including workplaces)
- However, for hospitality venues, masks only need to be worn for entry and exit
- Masks should be worn at all times on public transport and in ride shares
Businesses and events (including restaurants, cafes and convention centres, etc)
- Cafés, pubs and restaurants can now have one person per 2m² or 100 per cent capacity if they are ticketed and seated
- You no longer need to be seated when eating and drinking
- One person per 2m² or 200 people, or 100 percent allocated seated and ticketed capacity (whichever is greater) will now be allowed at funerals and weddings
- Dancing is now allowed as long as people comply with the one person per 2m² rule
Indoor and outdoor events
- 100 per cent capacity for stadiums, however masks must be worn at all times, except when eating or drinking
- Ticketed venues with allocated seating, like indoor sporting events and theatres, can operate at 100 per cent capacity
- All restrictions are removed for community sport
Movement and gathering
- Gatherings of up to 100 people are allowed in homes, including the people that live there
- There will be no limit for people gathering in public spaces
