Countdown to new Gold Coast and Moreton Bay Planning Schemes

The new Gold Coast City Plan will come into full effect on 2 February 2016.

Council has developed an online ‘Industry Hub‘ to help prepare the industry for the launch of the City Plan. The website provides practice notes, interactive mapping, training videos and fortnightly news alerts.

To assist industry professionals prepare for the implementation of the plan, Council is developing a library of support materials to be released over the next fortnight. Updated code templates have already been uploaded to the Council’s website. Interactive mapping is available and the updated interactive text viewer will be released upon commencement.

The first Moreton Bay Regional Council Planning Scheme will come into effect on 1 February 2016, replacing the existing Redcliffe, Caboolture and Pine Rivers Planning Schemes. 

The Council has prepared a number of code templates for use by industry practitioners and is in the process of developing further forms and templates associated with the new planning scheme commencement including a new Planning Report template.

Moreton Bay Regional Council’s Planning and Development News service will provide email alerts to subscribers in the lead up to the new planning scheme’s commencement.
