Coordinator-General, Urban Renewal appointedFollowing the announcement by the Chief Minister of a new Urban Renewal portfolio, Dan Stewart has been appointed Coordinator-General, Urban Renewal.Dan is Deputy Director-General, Land Development and Corporate (CMTEDD), and Deputy Chief Executive, Land Development Agency. He will lead the Government’s significant urban renewal agenda and coordinate the effort across Government, supported by a team working across directorates. Initially, the Coordinator-General, Urban Renewal will focus on the City and along the Capital Metro corridor – including the Capital Metro Active Development Strategy, City to the Lake, the Public Housing Renewal Taskforce and the Asset Recycling Initiative. The Coordinator-General, Urban Renewal will have an important role in bringing together the work of Economic Development, Environment and Planning, the Land Development Agency, and Capital Metro Agency to ensure that Capital Metro has the urban environment and active corridor envisaged.
