Cooling Project moves to new location
Our pop up and revitalisation project moved to the new location on Bennett Street out the front of Tourism Top End. Each day I have seen tourists and locals enjoying the free space. It is great to see people from surrounding offices sitting there with their packed lunches. It is one of the only places in the CBD that provides actually tables with the seating.
Clearly this has demonstrated the need for more of these. This project has generated wide support through the community which as been identified through our online survey and also by talking to people in the pop up.
A hige thanks again to the supporters and volunteers who committed to this project – extra thanks to the members on the ESD committee who have been watering the plants each and every day on a roster. Thank you – without you all, this could not have happened.
