Consumer Property Acts Review
The State Government has initiated a broad ranging consumer property law review.
Four key pieces of property legislation are being examined:
-Sale of Land Act 1962
-Estate Agents Act 1980
-Conveyancers Act 2006
-Owners Corporations Act 2006
The first issues paper, focusing on the conduct and institutional arrangements for estate agents, conveyancers and owners corporation managers has been released for comment by 11 March. Two further papers will be released over the following months, covering the management of owners’ corporations and the sale of land in Victoria.
