Consultation on Logan’s Ecological Significance Map
Logan City Council is refining its Ecological Significance Map to improve accuracy by incorporating local on-ground information.
This decision follows feedback from the community that suggested further investigation was required. Council is facilitating a Common Nature Conservation Classification System (CNCCS) Expert Panel to incorporate local scale information into the map.
The CNCCS criteria relate to threatened species, locally significant species, contribution to biodiversity, corridor links, context and connection, geomorphological variation and other ecosystem values.
