ConstructionQ
Kathy Mac Dermott this week represented the Property Council at the Queensland Government’s ConstructionQ forum which focused on creating a blueprint for the property and construction industry’s long-term growth.
Attendees at the forum represented professional design and management consultants, peak bodies, building contractors and subcontractors, clients, the housing sector, academia, students, suppliers and manufacturers, local governments and State Government departments.
The forum focused on discussions around eight key themes including collaboration, technology, regulation, procurement, housing, workplace relations, a skilled workforce and longevity in the built environment.
The Property Council also proudly sponsored the ConstructionQ networking reception on Tuesday 2 September.
The blueprint will be a working document with key outputs and milestones, and will outline the partnership between industry stakeholders in developing strategies for the future. It is intended that the plan will be managed by an industry steering committee and reviewed annually at future forums.
