Congratulations Jim Whiting OAM

BADGE Constructions Managing Director, Jim Whiting OAM, joined a range of distinguished compatriots on the Australia Day 2019 Honours List, receiving an Order of Australia Medal for service to the building and construction industry.

Jim has this to say about the award:

“For some time during the formal process I contemplated whether I would accept the nomination – but catching up with so many colleagues at BADGE’s Christmas celebrations reinforced to me that it was an award for us, not just me.

My time in the industry, which began before the start of BADGE in 1983, has been all about working in teams to achieve things. These days the teams are bigger – and so are the things we achieve.

It is what we have all done together as an organisation that is recognised by this award. I include in this the many fantastic past employees that have been with BADGE over 35 years.

So, having got my thought process straight, I was happy to accept the award on behalf of our team.”
