Commercial office property to adopt new technology or get left behind
The Commercial office property sector will have to embrace new technology in response to a generational shift in our workforce, was the key message at a Property Council Commercial Office Breakfast this week.
The breakfast event brought together commercial office property sector experts to examine and discuss the latest innovations set to revolutionise the way we interact with commercial office property.
Bruce Dyshart, Director – Meld Strategies provided an insightful presentation on what constitutes a ‘smart’ building and how building technology has evolved over the years.
Alex Fuerscke, Property Technology and IT Leader – Dexus, provided an informative presentation on the emerging 5g technology, how it is best adopted and how it differentiates from 3g and 4g.
Louise Monger, Head of Property Management – AMP Capital provided a lively presentation explaining how a generational shift in our workforce will mean commercial property owners will have to adopt clear and sound technology strategies in order to adequately respond to their employees needs and expectations.
Following the presentations, an interactive panel discussion moderated by Bradley Norris, Regional Development Director Qld & WA – Charter Hall was held.
