City of Prospect: proactively promoting its key assets to attract investment, encourage development and build its local economy ‘Network Prospect’ represents a suite of innovative projects City of Prospect has developed to capitalise the areas advantage of being an early National Broadband Network ready for service area with broadband fibre to every premise (commercial and residential), close proximity to the Adelaide CBD, rezoned transit corridors for increased density and our community demographic (younger than SA State average with a high proportion of knowledge based workers). This is the primary driver for investment attraction and is therefore supported by an innovative digital economy strategy to realise this potential. Since rezoning and nbn fibre to premise roll out, the City of Prospect has processed over $70M worth of investment either underway or in the pipeline, on Churchill Rd and Prospect Rd. With Main North Road currently undergoing a Master plan process, the Council has a clear objective of maximising the commercial potential of this corridor with every allotment being nbn fibre connected, re-zoned for uplift and within 5 km from the Adelaide CBD.
