Chief Minister Outlines Vision for 2017 

Today the Chief Minister, Michael Gunner addressed 2 people at his 2017 – “The Year Ahead” function where he outlined the government’s economic and social agenda for 2017.

We were pleased to hear that the CBD revitalisation has been put firmly on the table with a Capital Works program to be established to overhaul the Capital City and towns.

The Property Council has long advocated the need for the Capital City Committee to be reinstated, the Chief Minister announced that he and the Lord Mayor have restarted this committee. I will be following up this with both the Lord Mayor and the Chief Minister for further detail and for the Property Council to be involved.

The Chief Minister acknowledged that the last year was tough, tough for all Territorians. Programs have been fast-tracked and developed to help ease the burden on business and importantly, keeping Territorians from moving interstate.
