Change agents applaudedCarol Schwartz AM, Greg Paramor AO and Victor Hoog Antink have been acknowledged for their record of service with life memberships of the Property Council of Australia.The trio join a select group, with only 10 national honorary life memberships previously awarded over the Property Council’s 20-year history.Property Council chief executive, Ken Morrison says the three are national leaders in their own right, and have “demonstrated a willingness to be visionary agents of change in the industry”.National president of the Property Council, Mark Steinert, announcing the life memberships during a dinner to mark 20 years since the Property Council was established, said Schwartz, Paramor and Hoog Antink had been “instrumental in the creation of the modern organisation”.Schwartz was Victorian division president from 1994-1996, a board member from 1996-2001 and national president from 1998-2000. The first woman president in Victoria and nationally, Schwartz is currently convenor of the Property Male Champions of Change.”Carol’s work championing diversity has changed our industry for the better and has put the Property Council at the fore of this vital work,” Steinert said.Schwartz was inducted into the Property Council Hall of Fame earlier this year.Paramor was a member of the Property Council board from 1999-2004 and national president from 2000-2003. He has chaired the Capital Markets Leaders’ Summit, and was NSW president for two years.Steinert acknowledged Paramor as a “genuine pioneer” in the industry and applauded his great contribution to the Property Industry Foundation. “Greg is passionate about getting young people off the streets and into jobs,” Steinert said.”The Greg Paramor Scholarship Program is awarded to young people who participate in the Foundation’s Rebuild-a-Young-Life Program and stay with their jobs for at least a year.”The former chief executive of DEXUS Funds Management, Victor Hoog Antink, was a Property Council board member from 2003-2011, national president from 2005-2007 and again in 2009.
