CBD Research Report
Property Council’s next research project will focus on the property industry’s “Big Ideas for Perth” and will examine what the future could look like for our capital city after a long period of development, investment and delivery of significant public infrastructure projects.
The research and report, which will be informed by stakeholder engagement and inspired by the approach of other Australian capitals that have developed city-focussed strategies and masterplans. The work currently underway with consulting team Urbis and TPG + Place Match will consider a range of key issues and themes, such as:
- Defining Perth’s brand and identity
- What is the next big idea for Perth?
- Competitive retail positioning
- How to attract new city residents and connect inner urban neighbourhoods
- City amenity and beautification, and
- Governance and citizenry
Property Council committee members have been invited to participate in study through a survey that was sent out earlier this week.
The final report will provide an overview of ideas and initiatives that need to be considered and will land in June 2017.
