Good News For Fremantle But Future Government Moves Questioned 

The announcement that the State Government will relocate 10 public servant jobs to Fremantle is good news for the City of Fremantle and follows a similar government office relocation to Joondalup earlier in the year. The relocation will kick start Fremantle’s city centre revitalisation, a key strategic initiative of Perth’s future growth plan.

However, the move will have implications for wider office markets in Perth.

The Property Council is calling on the State government to fully consider the impact on Perth’s office markets through its decentralisation policy. This includes confirming if this is the final office relocation or if further moves are anticipated.
