Call for EOIs to develop E-Gate
On 27 October, the Victorian Government opened Expressions of Interest for developing E-Gate, a 20 hectare suburb in the West Melbourne rail yard.
Just 2km from the CBD, the site is adjacent to key growth precincts in Docklands, West Melbourne and North Melbourne.
E-Gate is one of four unique projects announced earlier this year as part of the Government’s decision to allocate $8 million to progress development along Melbourne’s Richmond to Footscray rail corridor. It was identified in the Property Council’s 2013 report, 20 Projects – Victoria’s Best Investment Sites as a site with strong potential to drive economic growth if opened up for investment.
EOIs will be accepted until Tuesday, 10 February 2015.
