Bulimba Barracks Master Plan adoptedThe Brisbane City Plan has been amended to incorporate changes to the Bulimba Neighbourhood Plan brought on by the adoption of the Bulimba Barracks Master Plan.The Master Plan, developed by Brisbane City Council through community consultation, provides for new urban development within the former Defence-owned site, including:a mixture of housing densities, while remaining sensitive to the surrounding residential areathe protection of the historic fabrication workshop building with the aim of repurposing it for a range of retail, business, commercial and community usesa new riverfront parkland with pedestrian and cycle connectivityupgrades to local infrastructureThe amendment took effect on 19 May 2017.
