The Property Council’s thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by the flooding in SEQ and NSW. Over the last couple of days, the team has been working with members who are still grappling with the impact the flood has had both personally and for their organisations.
Unfortunately, many of the businesses most severely impacted by flooding are CBD businesses along the river. After enduring two years of stagnant activity levels due to the pandemic the need to support these businesses has now become even more pronounced.
The Property Council has postponed the Brisbane VIP competition until next week, when we hope people are able to get back in the city to provide much needed support for businesses. Brisbane VIP will now run from the Tuesday the 8th of March until Friday the 8th of April. Over $40,000 worth of prizes will be available to win for those that scan one of the many QR codes that will be displayed around the city over the next month.
If your organisation is based in the city centre and is keen to support the initiative, then please contact us and we can supply you with the BNE VIP collateral to ensure your colleagues are enabled to support the campaign and its objective of reactivating our city centre.
For those of you who had registered to attend Property Market Outlook on 2nd March, please note this event has been rescheduled, and will now be held on Monday the 21st of March.
Please take care and stay safe, I’m looking forward to seeing you all in the city soon. In the interim if there is anything that the Property Council can do to assist you or your organisation, please do not hesitate to get in touch with our advocacy team.
