Amendments to BCC Neighbourhood Plans

The State Government has returned proposed amendments to the Neighbourhood Plans for Spring Hill, Newstead and Dutton Park to Brisbane City Council for formal adoption.

Due to take effect from mid to late 2018, the plans prepare for future growth, protect heritage places and promote economic development.

The Dutton Park-Fairfield Neighbourhood Plan has a strong focus on improving infrastructure and accommodating up to 13,000 additional jobs through new commercial and retail space.

While Spring Hill and Newstead emphasise the importance of supporting well designed urban environments, improving pedestrian activity and increasing retail spaces.
