Brisbane City Council: Increased Infrastructure Charges

Brisbane City Council has commenced Infrastructure Charges Resolution (No 9) effective as of July 1 2020.

Key changes in this resolution include:

  • Increased infrastructure charges in accordance with the Queensland Government’s Planning Regulation 2017
  • Process improvements for adjusting the current market cost for required works
  • Extension of the timeframes for the eligible organisation infrastructure charges reduction.

The changes will only impact Development Approvals given on or after July 1 2020.

Brisbane City Council has also extended its infrastructure charges incentive for community organisations that deliver new or improved facilities for community benefit.
