Brisbane City Centre Master Plan
Brisbane City Council launched Stage 1 of the Brisbane City Centre Master Plan at a Property Council breakfast this morning. Stage 1 of the Master Plan contains 15 key priorities over the short term to entice people back into the city centre.
Council is seeking to work with all tiers of Government and the private sector to deliver upon the priorities.
The fifteen priorities contained in the Master Plan are:
- Create more to see and do
- Adapt the modern workplace
- Promote access and inclusion
- Improve the city centre cycle network
- Enhance river connections
- Upgrade public transport
- Stage iconic events
- Deliver creative lighting installations
- Grow the visitor economy
- Green our city
- Create walkable streets
- Activate small spaces
- Facilitate growth
- Plan our Olympic and Paralympic legacy
- Elevate our global city
The Property Council was delighted to host the Deputy Mayor, as she launched the Master Plan and will seek to work with Council, the State Government and all CBD stakeholders on its Summer in the City campaign to lure office workers and visitors back into the city in the new year.
