Brisbane City Centre- An Open City

Over the past two years, the Property Council has worked closely with Brisbane City Council to identify and pursue opportunities for revitalisation of Brisbane’s CBD.

In recognition of the progress that has been made towards delivering on our shared vision, Brisbane City Council has released a new report, Brisbane City Centre- An Open City: CBD Revitalisation Initiatives.

The report provides an overview of Council’s strategies, projects and initiatives aimed at transforming the CBD, including the City Centre Master Plan, incentives for hotels and student accommodation, changes to the planning framework, as well as business promotion, advice and data.

The Property Council congratulates Council on its revitalisation initiatives, and through our Commercial and Corporate Real Estate Committee, looks forward to continuing to work together to identify further opportunities to support the ongoing revitalisation of our CBD.
