The Property Councils latest office occupancy data has delivered the result that building managers and city centre businesses have been looking for, revealing that Brisbane’s September office occupancy level had jumped from 57 per cent in August to 70 per cent in September.
This was the largest monthly jump of any capital city and Brisbane’s highest occupancy rate since June 2021.
Queensland Executive Director of the Property Council, Jen Williams, said the rise in occupancy was welcome news.
“This is the fantastic outcome that businesses in the city have been looking for and is testament to the hard work of so many stakeholders,” Ms Williams said.
“We’re seeing a huge increase in activity across the week. The gap is closing between peak and low days, with occupancy jumping by 16 per cent on the normally quiet Friday, much to the benefit of the city’s small businesses.”
