Bankstown to Liverpool transport options

An investigation into improving transport connections between Bankstown and Liverpool has been announced. It includes a possible extension of the new Sydney Metro.

The first stage of Metro in the north west is due to open in 2019 and the city and south west is due to open in 2024. Options are being considered on what transport outcomes can be delivered to Sydney’s growing south west. 

The potential extension of the new Sydney Metro would help to connect suburbs, businesses, jobs and service as well as reduce pressure on road infrastructure and the existing rail network.

The public is being invited to have their say and will have the opportunity to do so for six weeks from 11 March to 22 April 2016.
