Audit of cladding on high rise buildings

The Victorian Building Authority (VBA) has announced it is taking a number of actions to address the use of non-compliant cladding on high rise buildings.

Among other remedial actions, the Authority is auditing some 170 high rise buildings in inner Melbourne and immediate surrounding suburbs, which were built in the last ten years.

The purpose of the audit is to identify where cladding has been used in a potentially non-compliant manner with the National Construction Code.

Findings on each of the audited buildings will be published on the VBA’s website.

More info on the audit can be found here.
