Location of Athlete’s Village Confirmed

The Northshore Hamilton Priority Development Area (PDA) has been confirmed as the site of the Athletes’ Village for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

When complete the Village will house more than 15,000 athletes over the course of both Games. The announcement is expected to turbocharge the development of the Northshore Hamilton precinct, which was declared a PDA in 2008. 

Following the Games, the Village will be repurposed to provide a diverse residential offering including retirement living, aged care, social and affordable housing, Build-to-Rent and market accommodation.  In total, this new land supply is expected to catalyse $0 million of private investment and create 1600 construction jobs. 

The Property Council has long advocated for the 2032 Olympic Games as a mechanism for the three levels of government to work together to provide crucial infrastructure and unlock new land supply.
