ATCO & PROPERTY COUNCIL JOIN FORCES
Following the opening of its Clean Energy Innovation Hub, ATCO’s Manager of Innovation, Sam Lee Mohan will present at the next Property Council Smart Cities Forum on Thursday 22 August.
Future Trends and Innovations in Technology will explore the vital role that technology will play in the changing property landscape, and speculate on how it may look in the next 15 to 20 years.
Sam, who played an integral role in the development of the Hub, will present his thoughts and ATCO’s experiences related to the features and benefits of Australia’s first hydrogen micro-grid, and how this work will benefit consumers in the long-term.
ATCO’s Clean Energy Innovation Hub integrates ‘green’ hydrogen, created by water electrolysis – using excess solar energy to separate hydrogen molecules from water. The hydrogen generated this way can then be stored and used in various gas appliances and run through a fuel cell, which can then generate electricity when required.
At the event Sam will share details of this process, and future applications for developers, buildings and end users.
Property Council WA Executive Director Sandra Brewer, said the Smart Cities forum would provide an invaluable opportunity for attendees to learn from ATCO’s expertise in the application and use of hydrogen as a possible source of energy in the future.
“This presentation will be of great interest to property developers, construction companies, and building management companies as a way of promoting sustainable living options in residences and businesses,” she said.
