ATCO delivers energy solutions for members

ATCO is a customer-focused company that develops, builds, owns and operates a range of energy infrastructure assets, supporting residential business and commercial consumers across Australia.

The company’s Australian businesses include a gas distribution network in WA; ownership and operation of two power generation facilities, including the joint-owned Osborne facility in Adelaide, and a fully-owned facility in Karratha; as well as providing temporary and permanent modular building solutions.

ATCO owns and maintains the largest gas distribution network in Western Australia, connecting more than 7,000 customers through more than 14,000km of natural gas pipelines and associated infrastructure.

It provides service throughout metropolitan Perth and the surrounding regions of Geraldton, Bunbury, Busselton, Harvey, Pinjarra, Brunswick Junction and Capel.

The company also operates two separate non-regulated gas distribution networks, one serving Kalgoorlie, and the other, a liquefied petroleum gas distribution network, servicing Albany.

ACTO’s focus is on identifying innovative energy solutions for customers that not only lower emissions, but lower costs as well.

While natural gas already delivers a lower carbon footprint than other traditional sources of energy, ACTO is investing heavily in research and development programs to identify how we can improve this performance even further.

Natural gas networks have an essential role to play in meeting Australia’s future energy needs in a safe, reliable and affordable manner and are an ideal complement to intermittent renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar.

ATCO’s dedicated Gas Business Development Team is on hand to assist Property Council members with their building and construction projects during the design phase by:

Making capital contributions: ATCO Gas assesses headworks development costs on a case-by-case scenario to explore opportunities for fully or co-contributing to the cost of extending the current natural gas infrastructure into to construction projects, new developments and subdivisions.

Providing free energy analysis: ATCO can provide members with a free-of-charge energy analysis that will look at the optimal fuel mix for a building, housing development or precinct.

Energy and Technology knowledge-sharing : ATCO can run Industry specific technology roadshows to assist with members’ specific energy needs or alleviate any concerns from members.
