Alice Springs $15 million revitalisation tender

The Property Council of Australia welcomes the announcement of the NTG’s tender release for $15M into the Alice Springs Revitalisation Projects.

The four major projects that the CBD will have a focus on fall under the key priority initiatives that we have been advocating for.

With liveability being a major factor in retaining local population and creating jobs, these projects would be a win-win for both business and the community.

It will encourage residents to spend more time in the Alice Springs CBD and provide a safe and fun area for children to enjoy.

We need to attract visitors, not detract, and with these projects now out for design tender, it will go a long way in making that happen.

It will provide an economic injection into the Construction Industry and create much needed jobs for that sector.

It will also provide direct benefits to both the local tourism and retail sectors.

Together, with other Mall upgrades, Alice Springs Town Centre is building momentum towards being revitalised and activated.

It is great to see projects that were identified in earlier conversations coming to fruition and now getting off the ground.
