Albion Neighbourhood PlanThe Brisbane City Plan has been amended to incorporate the new Albion Neighbourhood Plan. The new plan, which revised the 2008 Albion Neighbourhood Plan following community consultation, aims to protect local character housing and light industry while providing new higher density opportunities. The main points of difference in the new plan are:The inclusion of the Corunna Street Precinct within the area’s boundaryZoning changes within the Albion village, Corunna Street and Raceway precinctsRestricted building heights within the Station PrecinctProvisions to ensure new developments do not impede public view corridors to features such as the city centre skyline, the Brisbane River and Mt Coot-tha.Brisbane City Council’s rolling neighbourhood planning process continues with the draft Spring Hill Neighbourhood Plan released for public consultation earlier this month, with submissions due by 17 June.
