Advocacy Update

Unsolicited Bids Guidelines:
The State Government is fast tracking the introduction of Unsolicited Bids Guidelines to be in place by end of year.
Trading Hours:
The State Government has further relaxed trading hours to allow shops in Perth to open at 7am on Monday to Saturday.  Retail property owners and managers are happy with this but are still concerned at the mixed-up trading hours situation and are calling for more uniformity.
CBD parking levy changes:
The CBD Parking Levy regulations are under review, including the purpose for use of the accumulated funds.
City of Stirling limits multi-units to stations and centres:
The City of Stirling has limited multi-unit development to railway station precincts and major shopping centres.  This follows a directive from the WA Planning Committee that was heavily criticised  by Property Council.
